Privacy policy

What we collect

Only Espresso doesn't ask you to create an account or hand over personal information to read articles. The only data collected when you visit is:

• Standard server logs. IP address, user agent, the URL requested, and the time. Used to detect abuse and fix errors. Not sold or shared.
• Analytics. Aggregated, non-personal usage data (pageviews per URL, country-level traffic, referrers). Configured to respect Do Not Track.
• Advertising cookies. When ads are running, our ad partner (Google AdSense) may set cookies to deliver content-targeted ads. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links, marked with rel="sponsored". Clicking one may set a cookie on the destination retailer's site (e.g. Amazon). We earn a commission if you buy something. See our affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

If you're in the EU, UK, or California: contact us to request a copy or deletion of any data we hold about you. We hold very little, typically just whatever's in server logs from your visits.

We'll update this page when the policy changes and keep the previous versions in our git history.
